Privacy Policy

Thank you for giving us your valuable time. With data being such a valuable commodity in today's time, the privacy policy is a vital piece of information for any new user trying to connect with a brand.

Dear readers,

As an aspiring writer and the author of this blog, I can assure you that I do not intend to misuse your data by any means. This blog/website is hosted on Google's Blogger platform and uses Feedburner to deliver feeds. You are welcome to comment on posts, provide your feedback and reviews over email and subscribe to new posts/feed using your email. This information will be processed by Blogger/Google and I will not try to sell it anywhere.

I hate ads as much as you do. In their current form, they are more annoying than useful and I promise to not use them on this blog ever. However, Google Analytics is installed. I do not require your payment information to entertain you with my writing but I'd like to add that I do host free and (future) paid ebooks on Smashwords where you may need to provide payment information on that platform.

Thank you for reading and let's get on with the privacy policy.

The Data We Collect

To keep it very simple, all the data that you submit on this website is maintained by Google's Blogger platform. This includes your Google account and comments information. When you subscribe to the blog/feed with your email, Feedburner is another of Google's tools that your data is shared with. Our contact form is powered by Google Forms and all your submitted information is stored on Google servers.

We take your information - name, email address and other details when you comment or subscribe on the website. We collect other information from you to improve your experience.

How Your Information Is Used

The goal of this blog is to provide the users a simple reading experience and your data helps us achieve this by personalizing your experience. You may receive notifications when your comments are replied to or when new posts are made (if you subscribe). You can unsubscribe at any time and we will not bug you.

About Cookies

Cookies are tiny files that are transferred to your hard drive through the web browser. Cookies help us tailor the website to your browser and account preferences. We use cookies to optimize your experience on the website. These cookies may be used by third party service providers for the sole purpose of helping us better understand our visitors.

How Do We Protect Your Information?

With the Blogger platform, we ensure that your data is completely safe on Google servers. We've enabled HTTPS encryption to maximize the security of all the information that you submit to us. All our connected profiles and channels that you may be interested in assure the safety of your data with proper encryption and security measures. We do not share your personal information with anyone and your data is stored in password-controlled servers for full protection against theft or other malicious intent.

We allow you to unsubscribe to our feed/blog at any time which should stop all notifications regarding any new posts. You can delete all your comments at any time as well.

About Ads, Third Party Links and More

This blog has been around for quite some time now. We do not intend to host any ads or third-party products over here ever.

While we do host ebooks and similar content on other platforms and will post links to them occasionally, those websites have their own independent privacy policies. However, we assure you that we will not send you to any shady platforms and that these websites are safe to use. Feel free to give us feedback about any of these websites.

As for the ads, we recommend you to continue using whatever tools you do to maintain your browsing experience. At the same time, your browsing habits do allow for curation of ads that are presented to you on other websites.

We do use Google Analytics to learn how our visitors engage with the website. If you do not want Analytics in your browser, you can choose to opt out using the Google Analytics browser add-on. Note that most ad blockers allow you to block trackers on a website as well.

As for cookies, most browsers allow you to clear cookies easily while also blocking third-party cookies on a website. If you want cookies to be automatically deleted when you leave our website, please use your browser in private/incognito mode.

While our content is targeted at a variety of age groups, the website is best suited for people older than 13 years of age. If you are under the age of 13, do not use this site.
